Thread: executing a root script from openpbx

executing a root script from openpbx
country flaguser name
Italy
2007-03-30 04:14:25
I used to run asterisk as "root" account.
Now running "openpbx" with the "openpbx"
system user.
Of course when i try to fix system date from dialplan my
script does not
work because it runs with the "openpbx" user
privileges instead of root.
I tried to chmod 4755 my script but didn't worked.

Example:
openpbx dialplan launch /usr/local/sbin/setdate.sh 20070411
/usr/local/sbin/setdate.sh contains the "date" and
"hwclock" command
chmod 4755 /usr/local/sbin/setdate.sh does not help :-(

any suggestions?

Antonio

You have to rebuild your message cache. The files in the
file system are
not read for handling messages.

Just run "php maintenance/rebuildMessages.php" on
a shell.
