opensc: how to find out card capabilities?

some drivers should have worked fine. but they didn't once
2048bit rsa keys were used. now most cards don't offer this
key size, so there is little use in adding tests with it.

but, if we could query the cards capabilities, it might be
much easier to write / skip tests. also some cards don't
support
512bit rsa keys IIRC (or some combination of usage flags?),
so a generic solution would be nice.

the cards already set some parameters in the code as far as
I
know. what is the best way to expose this via some tool?

ideas and patches are very welcome
