Cannot make this card (ATR 3B FF 18 00 FF 81 31 FE 55...) work: any help?

Hi all.

I'm recently developing an application that uses smartcards
for digital
signatures.

I have a problem with the card with ATR =

   3B FF 18 00 FF 81 31 FE 55 00 6B 02
        09 02 00 01 01 01 44 53 44 10 31 80 92

This card is sold in Italy by Postecert and _may be_ and
INcard product
but I wouldn't swear on it.

Apparently, this is not supported by OpenSC though I am able
to use in
32 bit environments with libincryptoki2.so, a binary PKCS#11
that can be
found in some products.

The problem comes with Red Hat ES 4 64 bit version and
presumably with
other 64 bit environments; no matter how hard I try, even
installing a
number of 32 bit required libraries I cannot make the thing
work and,
all in all, I would like to have an open source solution...
as a second
chance, a way to obtain something that works even if
closed-source.

Is support for this card planned in OpenSC?
Has anybody used/tested it in 64 bit environments?

Desperately thanks

         Umberto Rustichelli

Sorry. I checked the code and I found out that the card
should be
supported (card-incrypto.c)
Though, I'm stuck with some other problems, in 32 bit
environment too.
After compiling and installing all of the stuff, I get this
error that
probably makes impossible for me to find the reader:
(in syslog) "Driver ifd-ccid.bundle does not support
IFD_GENERATE_HOTPLUG" that I'm interpreting as "if
you hotplug a reader,
you will not recognize it".
Is this correct?
What phase of the compilation should I change? Maybe it
depends on the
libusb (that's already in the system, not manually
compiled).
It all works with OpenSuSE 10.1 (32 bit) and its packages
but compiling
manually I get this situation on Slackware 10.1 (behaviour
is like the
reader is not found).
Thanks again.

opensc in general works fine on 64bit. my main machine is
64bit for about 2
years now

I don't know ccid/pcsc-lite well. maybe ludovic can help?
can you post the versions of pcsclite and ccid driver you
are using?
and the exact name of the reader you have and how it is
attached
(I guess usb)? and your pcsc configuration?

I'm sure ccid and pcsclite work well in general, maybe there
is a small glitch
on your system/config or something is outdated or whatever.
more information
will help to see whats wrong.

also what distribution are you using? slackware 10.1?

Ragards, Andreas
