Siemens CardOS M4 cards... which to buy?

Hi...
I am a newbie of opensc so perhaps I have silly
questions...
for example I have found on a local reseller some

Infineon Card SLE66CX322p with CardOS/M04.01(a)

and some

Infineon Card SLE66CX322p with CardOS/M04.01(a) - with
Siemens PKI libraries

I have read some notes (on http://www.opensc-proj
ect.org/ and on this
list) but I haven't understood if it is necessary an
"application" that
run on the smartcard to manage the request of opensc or if
the CardOS OS
itself can manage the opensc request (for example to create
the PKCS#15
structure)...

another reseller has

"Siemens CardOS V4.3 B - HiPath SIcurity CardOS V4.3 is
a
multifunctional smart card operating system that.... Runs on
the module
Infineon SLE66CX322P with 32 Kbytes EEPROM... We are
offering also
CardOS V4.3b card with embedded Legic MIM 256... For

so which of these cards shall I buy to hope that it works
with opensc?
is it necessary to buy additional software (library,
middleware,
license) to use one of these cards with opensc?
