It is odd that the FN- keys dont work. There is no way to
disable this
from software that I know of.

You can also go into BIOS setup to change this, in addition
to the
previously-posted fix.

It may be that HAL isnt properly distinguishing between
ac/battery modes
and might need to be enhanced/fixed.

in fact, these were working, but limited by the range (both
min and
max were set to 0)

now that both ac/batt ranges are set to min 0 and max 7,
things are fine.
