Hi all

Today install opensuse 10.3 into my Dell Precision M65, but Network Manager show some errors with wireless lan.

I have installed this files from DVD Opensuse 10.3:

libsmbios-bin-0.13.6-2.i586.rpm
libsmbios-libs-0.13.6-2.i586.rpm

But, Network Manager show this error:

Could not open file /sys/devices/platform/dcdbas/smi_data. Check that dcdbas
driver is properly loaded.

I try set up Dell linux software repository ( http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/) with the command:

wget -q -O - http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/bootstrap.cgi
 | bash

Show this error:

Failed to download RPM: /dell-unsupported-repository/1-4/dell-unsupported-repository-1-4.suse10.3.noarch.rpm

My question is:

01) When i find this dcdbas and dell_rbu files to OpenSuSE 10.3 ???

Thanks for your Time

Gustavo

It's included in the kernel already, so just:

$ sudo modprobe dcdbas

The dell_rbu kernel module is only needed while you're
actively doing
a BIOS upgrade via firmware-tools or with dellBiosUpdate.

Thanks,
Matt
