Hi,
I have an iPAQ 3630 that I was attempting to upgrade (using
the HP upgrade tool!) to Pocket PC 2002. During the course
of this
procedure, it failed and is now "bricked". I've
contacted HP, and their
support is laughable - "try this, try that, send it to
us with lots of
money and we'll fix it".
So now I'm wondering - maybe it's time for Linux!
I can boot the iPAQ to the PARROT bootloader, and can
communicate using hyperterm, but don't know what to do now.
Can
anyone help? I think (having read handhelds.org) that I need
to install
Familiar plus Opie or GPE, but am not sure how to progress.
Most of the
tutorials explain how to install Linux to a
fully-functioning iPAQ. I
couldn't find one that helps to "un-brick".
Can anyone
help?
Thanks,
Adam
