    Hi,

 I have an IPAQ 3660, with the 2.21.12 bootloader loaded, sitting in a USB cradle.

I've set up hyperterminal as per instructions 115200/8-N-1 flow control-None, and get no boot> prompt.
Am I going to have to get a serial cable?

    Hi,

having researched further, unless things have changed recently, I've found my answer, (that I do need a serial cable). I can get one for £7 (haven';t got time to hack my cradle) so no big deal.

Even better, found the install 
0.84 from compact flash instructions. Huzzah!
