yo done as said by paul in the last post, i used a ac adapter and dowloaded the file through firefox checked the md5 and still no go its starting to annoy me i have tried several different jffs2 images and still no luck. would using OHH Bootldr 2.18.01   on a 3870 screw up in any way

Are you sure you did not have the USB connected?

That's a slightly old version, current is 2.21.12, and it
does work.
