080222-Bootloader On IPAQ 3850

I purchased an IPAQ 3850 off ebay which I now discover has been flashed with boot loader ver 2.21.12.  I think that one of the results of this is that I cannot connect this IPAQ to my PC even though I have the original Activesynch software to enable that connection.

 

Can I remove this bootloader and restore the original IPAC Factory default settings – if so how??

 

Please advise.
