New h5450 semi-bricked :/ <-- fixed!

Hi,

just got it back to normal.
Important thing, please note that in the pdating guide:
Use Activesync 3.7, 3.5 as comes with the CD (at least my
cd) doesnt work!
The battery problem somehow fixed itself after charging for
about 6hrs
(in this time battery indicator went from 100 to 0% and then
jumped back
to 100, where it started to work normally).
Now having updated first to rom 1.11.x and then the wlan
firmware to x.39.
Now uploading OPIE again via serial port, takes forever.I
would really
like it if it was possible to load the image over sd-card or
usb.

Doesn't work? What happens here exactly?

This sounds like a battery learning issue, due to the way
the battery
circuitry in the h5xxx is designed. Sometimes I wonder how
HP could release a
product with as bad charging behaviour as the h5xxx devices
seem to have.

I agree, however this is a little difficult to accomplish
the way things are
at the moment. If you can find a cheap second hand
CompactFlash sleeve (not
PCMCIA) then this is an option for faster reflashing.

Cheers,
Paul
