Hi Matthias,
i don't know the new template but IDL definitions or
specifications are
the language independent description of an API. Our complete
API is
defined in IDL. New features require often new APIs and in
consequence
of this i assume that somebody has integrated this new field
in the spec
template. I personally support this decision, it can really
make sense.
Not for everything but for a lot of features. Early
specification and
documentation of API's is always reasonable.
