Pretty stable, but you better update to the last kernel
(current # is 283).

There was some bug fixed in kernel < 276, I believe (1 or
2 after SP3). But
this bug influenced ASM only and had an easy workaround.

Hi, we are running SAP R/3 on HP DL580 G5 servers with
Oracle 9.2.0.7 and
Suse SLES 9 SP3 AMD64/EM64T version connected to a FC
external storage
Hitachi AMS500.
We have some performance issues and I suspect for a I/O
bottleneck in long
queries.

The question is, if I change to async I/O i will notice
better performance
?, and it is stable in Suse SLES 9 ?

The kernel version is 2.6.5-7.283-smp, I don't use ASM
because is not 
certified by SAP, only EXT3 for filesystems with oracle
datafiles with 
data=writeback mount option.

There are some measure for the improvement?, I mean some
percentage?
