Installing ORCA on Debian

    Hello,

There seems to be a problem with building ORCA from CVS
sources
(checked out on 2006/05/10) on Debian based linux
distributions. The
configure scripts fails while trying to determine
dependencies needed
for compiling and running Orca. It looks like as if, the
required
libraries can not be found, though they are definitely
available on
the system.

The output of the configure script is attached at the end of
this
mail.

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables
orca_CFLAGS
and orca_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

Have you really installed libeel2-dev and
libgnome-speech3-dev ?
