orca 0.2.4 compiler log error

hi will,
  I hate to sound ni`eve, but where is the log file located?
and even wehn I 
tried to compile gnopernicus, it still gives me the same
error, that the 
compiler can not create executables. I have gcc 4.0 or so it
says.
