Hello

In ms excel, there is a function to autofit the width of a column to the text within it so that the text does not run off of the cell.  Does openoffice spreadsheet have this and if so, how do you envoke it?  Sorry about this simple question, but I have been looking for this answer on the internet to no avail.  Also checked the openoffice help both on their webpage and in the program itself.

I assume the way you're doing this is to select the entire
column, then
going to the Format menu, choosing Column, and from there
choosing --
what is it called? Autofit selection??

If so, then the process is nearly identical: Select the
entire column,
then go to the Format menu, choose Column, and from there
choose Optimal
width. You'll be presented with a dialog in which you can
tack on some
extra space should the spirit move you. Press OK and you'll
be set.

Hope this helps!
