Hello,
I found docs under orca/docs in sgml format. Are they
available in
other formats like html? If not, what tools would I use to
convert
them?
Thanks,
Chris

You can find both PDF and HTML versions of the docs
in /orca/docs/doc-set. You can also find the same
information linked
from the wiki at: live.gnome.org/Orca.
Hope this helps

Hi Christopher:
There's a README in the same directory:
In order to generate the HTML and PDF versions of the orca
documentation
perform the following steps from the docs/doc-set directory
after
installing the docbook-utils.
To generate the pdf documentation: db2pdf orca.sgml
To generate the HTML docs: db2html --nochunks orca.sgml
After the HTML is generated you must copy the
docs/doc-set/orca/orca.html file to docs/doc-set
Hope this helps,
Will
PS - They are kind of out of date. My apologies.

| Orca docs translation and Orca help
translation |

Dear List!
I am translated Orca messages in Hungarian language, it is
finished, the
percentage is 100%. But, I looked the Orca help system, it
is not
translated (in
orca main window click the help button). I find
accessibility-guide-head.pot file with
http://l
10n.gnome.org/module/gnome-user-docs
webpage, began translate this file. Orca help system
using this
documentation?
If not, how can translate Orca help topics with hungarian
language?
Another translation problem: With Orca preferences window,
keybindings
tab, all messages translated good in Hungarian except four
or five
messages, e.g.
"Report current script information". This
messages not find with hu.po
file and the .pot file. This four or five messages not
selected with
translation
in source tree? How can fix this problem?
Thanks,
Attila

Hi Attila:
Many thanks for your hard work translation Orca! Hungarian
users will
be pleased thanks to your efforts.
For the help documentation, I believe it lives in
http://svn.gnome.org/s
vn/gnome-user-docs/trunk/gnome2-accessibility-guide/C/low-vi
sion.xml,
and we need to go through it to make it more up to date. In
addition,
the underlying help system of GNOME (yelp) is not very
accessible at
this time. As such, I think I'd recommend not investing
efforts
translating the documentation right now.

Wow! What commands do you use to find these strings?
In any case, someone opened a bug on them very recently:
htt
p://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=520974.
IMO, these strings are not important for day-to-day use of
Orca, so we
won't scramble to get them fixed for GNOME 2.22.0. But, we
will work on
marking them for translation for GNOME 2.22.1 as well as
trunk.
Thanks again for your hard work!
Will
