EN-605 Engineering Project Manager - Staff - Irvine, CA

The leading developer of software for Location Based
Services (LBS) for
today's GPS-enabled mobile phones has an immediate
opportunity for
engineering project manager.
Our client is looking for a customer-facing project manager
to work
with the engineering team to roll out customer and internal
projects.
In this role, you will work with Engineering, QA, Product
Management,
and Business Development teams to ensure a smooth and
seamless release
of software products to customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
o. Lead complex delivery projects, possibly spanning
multiple countries
and involving several client locations and potentially
multiple
partners.
o. Participate in customer/partner-facing project status
meetings. Run
launch readiness meetings, identify launch gating items and
drive them
to resolution. Create and maintain technical project
documentation
internally and for external delivery, including weekly
status reports,
project plans, meeting summaries, project updates, etc.
o. Ensure customer acceptance of project in line with
product/quality
requirements, and realize high levels of client
satisfaction.
o. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships in
support of
mutual business interests. Build positive relationships and
trust over
time through strong on-time delivery, high quality,
continuous
innovation, and by exceeding expectations.
Requirements:
o. 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a
software/wireless
company (Required)
o. Up-to-date on emerging wireless technologies and their
relevance to
the marketplace (Required)
o. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or other
engineering
discipline (Required)
o. Experience developing and monitoring technical project
plans,
identifying critical milestones and driving projects to
success
(Required)
o. Proven experience releasing software products to market
successfully. (Experience with launching wireless
application
software/services a plus.)
o. Ability to travel, approximately 25% of the time.
