The leading developer of software for Location Based
Services (LBS) for
today's GPS-enabled mobile phones has an immediate
opportunity in
Irvine a Product Manager.
They are seeking a results-oriented, experienced Product
Manager to
specify and manage their new navigation and team location
products. In
this position, you will define and execute product strategy
for various
Location-Based Service (LBS) products to address both
carrier and
application developer opportunities.
As marketing product manager, you will be tasked with
ensuring that
their LBS products are the best in the industry.
This role offers hands-on responsibility for creating
products that
meet quality and revenue targets, working in conjunction
with sales and
development.
You will be expected to specify and manage the on-time
development and
delivery of NIM web and mobile products that result in
strong ROI.
Requirements:
o. Passion for and deep understanding of mobile application
and/or LBS
marketplaces. (Required)
o. 5+ years in product strategy, planning, development, and
product
management experience in an Internet-based company and/or
with
technical/software related products and services is
required. (Wireless
experience is a plus.)
o. Previous P/L responsibility in the service, wireless or
software
industry (Required)
o. Demonstrated ability to quickly understand global
wireless market
changes, and their strategic business, product and marketing
implications and the ability to develop plans to respond
appropriately
to potential opportunities or challenges. (Required)
o. Strong technical background around product development
(working
knowledge of HTML, C++, Java, SQL, experience with
databases, and
understanding of client/server technology) (Required)
o. College degree in a relevant discipline is required (MBA
preferred)
