Programmer Analyst
As a member of the IS Applications team, the Sr. Programmer
Analyst
will be a strong technical resource to various new software
application
projects, including systems such as the Adverse Event,
Clinical Trials
Management, Legal Contract, Portal / Dashboard and
Warehouse,
Enterprise Project Management projects and various other
identified
projects/applications supported by the team. Analyze
requirements and
implement technical solutions, such as performing specific
system
configuration and customization, and provide assistance to
team members
performing system admin roles in troubleshooting difficult
issues.
Contribute to the design and development of
dashboard/portals into the
information stored within these disparate systems, including
systems
such as CTMS, AES, Enterprise Project Management, Quality
Management.
The individual should have a strong software development
background
working with database applications. Develop expertise in
several of the
applications functionality, architecture, and software
design, and lead
some of the future system integration projects and help to
ensure
application deployments plan appropriately for future
integration.
During vendor selection, provide technical assessments to
ensure the
selected applications meet technical and architectural
requirements.
Perform project management for mid-size or technical focused
projects.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in IS, Computer
Science, or
related field. 8 or more years experience in software
development, with
experience in Oracle database application design including
strong SQL
expertise, JDBC / ODBC, stored procedures. Experience using
Oracle
developer tools such as Forms, Reports, Discoverer. Crystal
Reports
desirable. Experience developing/deploying applications on
MS Windows
and Linux. Object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD)
methodologies and
programming in languages such as c++, C#, Java. Experience
with
software development methodologies, source code control,
automated unit
testing, and able to write clear technical design
specifications. Web
development experience desirable. Software application
integration
experience desirable. Business Warehouse or DataMart
experience
desirable. Solid written and verbal communication skills,
high energy /
team player. Project management and/or technical lead
experience
desirable. Experience developing and deploying software
applications in
a regulated environment, exposure to GxP and FDA 21CFR Part
11
regulations. Ability to prioritize amongst competing
priorities, and
adapt to a changing environment while meeting project
deadlines.
