STORAGE SYSTEMS ENGINEER - BETHESDA, MD
The candidate must meet the following requirements and
provide detail
in their resume:
3+ years of experience installing and supporting Storage
solutions (SAN
/ NAS)
5+ years of solid networking background
Customer interfacing experience
Experience with Switches & Fiber Switches (Cisco,
Brocade, McData, etc)
Storage Management product experience (Brightstor, Tivoli
Storage
Manager, HP storageWorks, IBM Total Storage Solutions,
Knowledgestorm,
Experience with any of the following storage solutions: HP,
EMC,
Brocade, McData, CA, IBM , StorageTek, FalconStor, Seagate,
HDS,
SunStorage, Broadcom, CNT, Emulex, Qlogic,
Ethernet experience
Experience with RAID Arrays
Experience with both Windows and Unix platforms (Linux and
mainframe is
a plus)
Commercial and/or Federal experience is desired
Ability to travel customer sites in DC, Baltimore,
Frederick, Northern
VA, Richmond, & Norfolk VA
The person we are looking for will have at least 3-5 years
of industry
experience focused on providing storage solutions. This
person must be
independent and self-motivated. S/he will support 3 sales
reps and 2
sales engineers in the MD, DC, and VA territory, by
providing
implementation, configuration, optimization and support to
both federal
and commercial customers. Possibility of up to 10% overnight
travel.
Compensation: 75 - 90K base depending on level of
experience.
**This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to
move out of
a storage systems admin / engineer, data center role, or for
someone
who would like an opportunity to move into a professional
services role
where they get the opportunity to work with various
technologies at a
large variety of customer sites.
