Position: Sr. Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Location: Boston MA

Duration: 6 months+ (a good fit would be here throughout 2007)

Hourly Rates: $55 - $60 MAX.

Interview Type: Face to Face after successful telephonic interviews.

 

Required Skills:

• Candidates must have strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills, excellent SQL tuning skills, and
• communications skills.
• 7 -9 years experience (or more) ; as an Oracle Database Developer
• Excellent SQL and SQL tuning experience
• Strong PL/SQL programming skills
• Oracle Forms/Reports 6i/9i expertise
• Proven record of accomplishment working with development teams to provide stored procedures, views
• and functions to support application development
• Experience with Unix and shell scripting
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Candidates must be willing to work in an energetic, fast pasted and team-oriented development
• environment.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively is a necessity. Activities include requirement
• analysis, design and implementation of Oracle Forms and Reports and PL/SQL packages. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

• This Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer will contribute to the development of Oracle Forms and Reports as well as to PL/SQL development projects.
• The senior candidate will participate in all parts of the development life cycle, from requirements analysis, to design, implementation and release.
• The senior candidate will leverage past development experience and will be responsible for the maintenance and development of Oracle Forms and Reports.
• The senior candidate will fine-tune the performance of the SQL and PL/SQL code base and application specific tables.
• Applications include dynamic query generation, data entry forms, batch jobs to load and extract data to and from the database and a wide range of reports that are run in batch and interactively.
• Application accuracy, reliability and response time are very important.
• Activities include requirements analysis, design, implementation and unit testing of PL/SQL code packages and views, Oracle Forms and Reports.
