-Programmer/Solutions Developer
Ideal candidate will: # Have a love of programming, and
significant
time spent programming just for fun. # Be an analytical
thinker,
comfortable in tackling new problems and learning new
technologies. #
Have a proven track-record of being highly productive in
writing
sophisticated applications using one or more object-oriented
languages
(e.g. C#/.NET, C++, Java, Ruby/Rails, etc.) in an
enterprise-scale
environment. # Have worked to develop in multiple
environments (client/
server applications, web solutions, procedural environments)
on
multiple Operating Systems, and be accustomed to learning
different
technologies and languages as needed. # Experience with
application
design techniques, user interface design, and development of
design
documents. # Database environments, access languages and
products such
as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, DB2, SQL, PL/SQL,
ODBC, JDBC. #
Have experience with the analysis, design, and
implementation of
automated enterprise-scale distributed business systems and
infrastructures, including direct responsibility for
analysis, coding,
development, testing and application design enhancements. #
Have a
history of providing solutions as a self-driven individual
developer
and as a member of a much larger team. # Have a working
knowledge and
ability to follow an SDLC. # Multiple platforms such as .Net
and
J2EE.
Requirements: # 2+ years of solid history in an enterprise
development
environment. # Bachelors Degree in CS, Engineering, Math,
etc. or
equiv work experience # Positive, can-do attitude #
Effective and
clear written and verbal communication skills # History of
enhancing
and supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications #
Ability to
multi-task, working on multiple projects and/or provide
ongoing
enhancements and support to existing applications.
Additional consideration will be given to those members who
have
experience in the following areas: # Health Care experience
# Unix/
*nix, Putty, shell scripting, etc. # B-Tree Index # History
and
comfort in refactoring # Knowledge of common design
patterns, and a
history of using them # Knowledge of some modeling
techniques (UML,
Rational, etc.)
