General Summary:
The Quality Assurance
Analyst will provide testing and validations of our company217;s package
and custom software and hardware, including Point of Sale, eCommerce,
Warehouse and Financial solutions. Quality Assurance Team members will assist
in planning and executing test plans, the generation of defects and reports,
defining test approaches, setting up test environments and conditions, and
delivering status and overall quality feedback to the QA Team and Business
Management.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities: (*Essential Functions)
Perform functionaland end
to end system tests.
Test functionality
delivered across multiple applications and workflows.
Develop test scripts
based upon business requirements and processes.
Generate, execute and
maintain test plans and test cases.
Document test procedures
and findings.
Reconcile test results
from different tests and different groups.
Perform regression
testing.
Document and track
product defects.
Process transactions from
system entry to exit. ;
Provide management and
coworkers with the test results.
Develop software release
documentation. Maintain a current knowledge of QA, development methodologies
and developments in technologies and tools.
Job Specifications:
(Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance
in the job.)
2 - 5 years of Software
Quality Assurance experience.
Understanding of
software quality and QA methodologies.
Expertise in software
test planning and execution.
Strong experience with
manual and automated testing, writing and updating test plans, and reviewing
test cases.
Ability to write ; test
documentation based on minimal sources of information.
Ability to clearly
identify and document defects.
Expertise in all aspects
of Mercury217;s Suite ; of Tools including Quality Center,
WinRunner and QTP..
Excellent written and
verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational
and analytical problem solving skills.
Proficiency in SQL.
Proficiency with
standard Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Windows (95/98/NT/2000/Me/XP).
Ability to work on
multiple projects concurrently and adhere to deadlines.
Excellent teamwork and
interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, with
critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
Preferred but not
required:
Working knowledge of
Unix/Linux platforms.
Experience with testing
and operations of Point of Sale (POS) systems
