Description
Design a
network environment to support the customers business requirements. Provide
architectural leadership and network solutions to provide initial services with
enhanced availability, performance, and cost effectiveness. Team with other
tower technical support, customer contacts and NS peer teams to deliver
contracted services on time

1. In-depth understanding of Networking
industry, technologies and specific infrastructures/environments
2. Complex network planning, design,
integration, performance, and capacity management
3.
Development and support of complex network solutions from engagement through
delivery
4. Demonstrate technical leadership, self-motivation, teamwork,
focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to apply account specific
knowledge.
5. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
with the ability to communicate at both a technical and business level.
6. Superior technical skills in Cisco technologies with complimentary
intermediate skills covering the remainder:
Routing (CISCO, MPLS, EIGRP,BGP, and LAN/WAN Router
troubleshooting)
Switching (VLAN, CISCO, Spanning Tree)
Load
Balancer (F5-Big IP, Cisco-CSS, Alteon, Solution, Implementation. and PD)
Performance (Sniffer and Trace evaluation, Log analysis, Application
behavior analysis)
Network topologys (Ethernet Switched 10/100/1000,
Gigabit, Fast Ethernet, Wireless, VoIP etc.)
Network protocols
including: TCP/IP, IPX, SNA
Network standards including wiring, fiber,
network security, etc.
LAN/WAN technologies such as T1, DS3, SONNET,
MPLS, DSU/CSU, etc.
IP addressing TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Visio
applications to support Network Drawings
7. Skills Application:
Architecture / Design Validation
Ability to assess a broad network environment
Understanding
environmental flows, protocols and application characteristics
IES,
ITCS, GSD331 and other security standards or policies as they relate to
environments
8. Certifications: CISCO- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE and/or others would be
beneficial
9. Education: 4 years of College in Information Systems, Network/Security,
Computer Science, and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
