Job title: SSIS/SQL Developer

Length of assignment: 4 -6 months 

Bill Rate: $70/hour

Scope of position:

Consultant to rewrite the Worldscope datafeed ingestion 

process. The current process in place is legacy, it goes 

thru an intermediate Sybase database that delays the 

data delivery to the strategic fundamentals components 

by about 24 hrs and also is a maintenance bottleneck. 

We have word from the team within CTG that maintains 

the current process  that they will not be updating their ;

process should worldscope alter the feed or introduce 

new data elements (which is pretty common). For both 

of these reasons, it is pretty urgent for us to take 

ownership of this feed and re-engineer it using the 

suitable technologies available in this area.

Main Responsibilities:

Understand the worldscope data feed, help design the 

target schema and develop an ingestion feed process 

using SSIS. This is a SQL Server 2005 database and 

we will be developing this using Microsoft .Net 2.0 and

C#. Help test the feed process, develop deployment 

procedures, develop escalation procedures and 

document them. ;

Required Skills:

SSIS (3-4 years experience.)
