GUI Software Engineer (C++, MFC)
Candidate will be evaluated on the following key criteria:
' Ability to design and implement real-time (GUI) graphical
user
interfaces that are simple to use, intuitive, follow a
consistent look
and feel, and optimize user productivity. ' Understand the
fundamental
principles of good user interface design and OS guidelines.
'
Experience gathering, understanding, and translating end
user
requirements and expectations into an appropriate user
interface. '
Strong conceptual skills and ability to follow a
user-centered design
process to ensure the needs of the customer are met with
elegant user
interface solutions. ' Able to rapidly prototype concepts to
encourage
user feedback. ' Experience performance tuning,
troubleshooting and
debugging complex software. ' Experience using GUI builder
applications and toolkits. ' Object Oriented Design and
Methodologies
are required using MFC and C++
Specific roles and responsibilities will be defined and
selected
consistent with applicant's abilities and goals.
Qualifications: Education Required: Bachelor of Science in
Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with
software design/
development experience.
Years of Experience: 3-5 yrs related software experience.
Required Skills: MFC & C++ programming, multi-threaded
applications in
a Unix and/or Linux OS environment. CMMI or SEI process
experience
would be helpful.
Desired Skills: Object oriented design and development
experience
utilizing UML, CORBA (ACE/TAO a plus), and distributed
client-server
architectures.
