• Administration of enterprise backups for 3 primary
  locations for GMACM 

  Ø Fulcrum

  Ø Horsham

  Ø Shady Oak

  

  • Netbackup policy creation 

  • Netbackup policy verification 

  • Daily backup run verification 

  • Capacity planning for the Netbackup environment 

  • Server commissioning 

  • Server decommissioning 

  • Enterprise
  file and database restores 

  • Daily tape pulls from the Fulcrum T950 

  • Off-site tape management. This includes daily tape shipping and
  retrieval as well as quarterly and yearly tape audits 

  • Sox Auditing 

  • Trading spaces database and servers moves and add’s and
  reconfigures 

  • Daily production meetings and change management meetings 

  • Administer backups for the below 

  1000 + Windows servers

  600 + Unix servers

  
 200 + Oracle Database backups

  

  • Daily troubleshooting of backup failures for OS level backups and
  Database backups for 

  

  1000 + Windows servers

  600 + Unix servers

  200 + Oracle Database backups

  

  • Weekly on-call rotation for the backup environment 

  • Consistent optimization of the Netbackup software for tape
  utilization and backup window utilization 

  • Provide information for SMOG updates for various groups 

  • Daily tape pulls for Mirapoint and shipment of tapes for there
  off-site needs 

  • Backup validation of data to make sure what data we backed up can be
  restored 

  • Roll out Netbackup patches and upgrades to the Netbackup environment
  when needed 

  • Work with the storage group to administer the Clarriion CDL/VTL 

  • Provide SOX documentation to the auditors when needed 

  • Backup Procedure documentation 

  • Continued exploration of a robust backup monitoring software 

  • Provide weekly supervision of MIC tape pull by EDS, scanning of
  tapes, and sending tapes offsite for storage. (Adjust how you want)
