Description
A Technical Lead on a
Regulatory Reporting Datawarehouse application:
- Experience designing,
developing, and delivering applications in our 3 different spaces: ETL, Web,
and Business Intelligence. Ideally, the ETL experience would be in Ab Initio,
the Web experience would be in Java EE (formerly known as J2EE) using Websphere
and Rational Application Developer, and the Business Intelligence experience
would be in Cognos v8.x/SQL expertise.
- Experience in Data
Warehouse applications.
- Experience in, or at least
a fundamental understanding and working knowledge of, message queuing, security
principles, SDLC, design patterns, application integration, OOAD, XML, web
services, LDAP, RDBMS design principles (UDB preferred), UML, and MVC application
frameworks.
- Experience developing
Application Architecture and Design documents.
- Good with structured and
lateral thinking in order to provide multiple options and recommend the best
suited option.
- Ability to communicate
clearly and effectively with the development team, management, business users,
other IT systems owners, and DA/DBA groups.
- Ability to take a holistic
view of the problem and see the big picture.
- Ability to be
self-motivating and perform in a dynamic environment/team player.
Responsibilities:
- Provide architecture
direction, oversight and support in application.
- ProvideOptimize project
technology investments and schedules.
- Ensure project technical
quality/perform code reviews.
- Advise Business Systems
Analysts, technical managers and business users to help them define business
requirements and objectives in the implementation of specific area advanced
technologies.
- Serve as primary contact
between the application teams and IT support groups (DBA, Middleware,
Application Change Control, etc.)
- Lead groups of business
users and developers in the design of advanced technology solutions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with
Corporate Technology and Security standards.
