Quality Analyst
The responsibilities and duties for this position include
but are not
limited to:
* Test Development Execution - Developing and executing
product-level
system, installation, conversion, and performance tests *
Analyzing
results, generating defect reports in the call tracking
system and
verifying fixes. * Test Planning - Working with business
analysts and
developers to identify functional tests for system level
enhancements
(interfaces, APIs, EDI, conversions, installations,
performance, etc.)
* Participating in project-level verification activities
(reviews,
inspections and walkthroughs) to become familiar with the
project
requirements, design, etc. * Working with business analysts
and
developers to identify functional tests for application
enhancements *
Planning, implementing and executing third party
product-level
installation and interface tests with MFG/PRO and other
third party
products * Developing and executing project-level functional
tests and
integration tests * Defining, producing, maintaining and
reporting
applicable test metrics * Participating in ISO Quality
System Audits
and Meetings
Qualifications
* BE, BTech, MTech, MCA, MCM, MSc Comp Science or equivalent
degree *
Minimum 4 years experience with database applications,
client-server
applications or web-based applications * Minimum 3-5 years
demonstrated success at functioning in the capacity of a
Quality
Analyst * Thorough understanding of the software development
lifecycle
and proficient in testing methodologies, including test
automation *
Experience supporting QAD products and related technologies
* Working
experience in MFG/PRO, Progress 4GL * MFG/PRO programming
standard
procedure and functions, Supply Chain Management (SCM) -
DRP, MRP,
costing, inventory management, inventory allocation in the
manufacturing, distribution or accounting industry is a plus
*
Technical/System experience or knowledge is required (QA
testing
tools, UNIX, Windows NT, Internet, networks, Progress) *
Programming
experience is a plus (Progress, C, C++, UNIX, SQL, Java or
XML) *
APICS certification a plus * Strong verbal, written
(documentation)
and interpersonal communication skills * Fluency in multiple
languages
a plus
