A leading developer of corporate tax software is seeking a
Project Lead
to help integrate and automate tax department processes,
eliminate
manual and redundant tasks, enhance data accuracy and
quality, and
dramatically improve planning and analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities:
o. Manages software product releases and/or independent
development
projects. Responsible for release/project level estimation,
planning,
tracking, and cross-functional coordination. Manages
integration of
multiple components and features from internal and external
suppliers.
o. Leads teams of developers and coordinates resource
allocation across
multiple projects. Manages task assignments, risk
management, issue
resolution, and cross-functional communications. Coordinates
vendor
plans and deliverables. Works closely with product
development,
business analysts, application architects, developers, and
test
engineers to create innovative and cost-efficient solutions
to customer
problems.
o. Establishes departmental process structure, monitors
process
compliance, and leads process improvement initiatives.
Develops and
promotes quality standards across the Software Engineering
team.
o. Responsible for people development, training, performance
management, and mentoring.
Requirements:
o. 5+ years of commercial enterprise-level sw development
experience in
all phases of SDLC (Required)
o. 2+ years of exp leading sw development teams or pjts
(Required)
o. Proficient in sw engineering process techniques including
requirements mgmt, pjt planning, tracking and oversight, sw
configuration mgmt, and vendor mgmt (Required)
o. Familiarity with sw process frameworks and methodologies
such as
MFS, CMM, ISO-9000, or Agile (Required
o. Exp designing and developing components for distributed
sw
applications. Understanding of web services, multi-tiered
architectures, and SOA (Required)
o. Working knowledge of MS technology, pgm languages,
components,
databases, database drivers, and APIs including Windows OS,
COM/COM+,
IIS, MSMQ, .NET, C++/C#, Oracle, and SQL Server (Required)
o. Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocol
stacks and
data formats including but not limited to TCP/IP, RPC, HTTP,
SOAP, and
XML (Required)
o. BS is Computer Science or other applicable field
(Required)
o. Experience developing financial services applications a
plus
o. PMP certification a major plus
