EN-594 Senior Software Engineer/Architect - Staff -

A leading developer of corporate tax software needs a Senior
Software
Engineer/Architect to help broaden and deepen its technical
strength in
support of its market leading, enterprise level,
distributed,
commercial software system - a system that is undergoing a
significant technical migration in addition to the expansion
of its
capabilities.
They are seeking a senior- or architect- level person with a
broad and
deep technical background in distributed, scaleable business
systems
based on Microsoft technologies.
You will lead and coordinate the activities of up to six
engineers on-
and offshore and be the primary owner of the installation
application
suite. You will interface with multiple departments to
gather
requirements and resolve issues.
Your initial assignment will be to take the lead for our
installation
applications - a suite based on .Net/C#, WMI and MSI/MSP
technologies. The position is "hands on."

Requirements:
o. 5+ years of software development, at least three of which
must be in
a senior, lead or architect capacity (Required)
o. Experience with technical architecture, infrastructure
and
deployment of large scale distributed systems (Required)
o. Current with Microsoft's latest technologies with a
focus on .Net
and C# (Required)
o. Experience with WMI and MSI/MSP is strongly preferred.
o. Experience with InstallShield is preferred, with a focus
on the
creation of MSI packages via the InstallShield IDE.
o. Must have experience in other Microsoft enterprise
technologies such
as COM+ (J2EE is a plus)
o. Must have utilized standard development methodologies
such as Agile
or MSF.
o. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
o. BS or equivalent experience, MCSD .NET preferred.
