A leading developer of corporate tax software needs a Senior
Software
Designer to:
o. Plan, perform and manage software design activities.
o. Work closely with business analysts to analyze software
development
requirements.
o. Present the designs and provide development support to
vendors and
in-house developers.
o. Conduct requirement reviews, design reviews, provide
direction to
team members and resolve technical issues
o. Abstract problems, question solutions, and simplify
designs
o. Lead a team of designers and developers.
o. Mentor staff designers to adopt better development
practices, foster
a team environment.
o. Be accountable for quality of deliverables produced.
o. Manage multiple projects simultaneously
o. Prepare concise written documentation for multiple
constituencies,
including management status reports, user documentation,
design
overviews, etc.
Requirements:
o. 5+ years in the area of software development, at least
three as
designer (Required)
o. Proficient with requirements analysis (Required)
o. Proficient with object-oriented methodologies and tools,
including
UML and Rational Rose (Required)
o. Experience with and thorough understanding of
multi-tiered software
architectures (Required)
o. Proficient with Microsoft .NET technologies (Required)
o. Strong verbal and written communication skills (Required)
o. Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server and
Microsoft
.NET a plus.
o. Education: BS in computer science or equivalent
