Windows CE Developer
Job Description: Design, create, test and maintain Windows
Server
Applications using C# for the Security and Transportation
Technology
business unit. Must have a strong technical knowledge base
with
application development experience with C++ and C# using
Windows Server
Enterprise Edition with an emphasis on client/server
interface
development, multi-threading, ADO.NET with SQL-Server and
image
processing. You must have at least 3-5 years of C++ and C#
application
development experience as well as 2-3 years experience in
multi-threaded applications in C++ and C#. You should be
capable of
performing software design, software implementation and
software
integration. You should have demonstrated ability in
interfacing with
real-time systems. , As a qualified candidate, your
knowledge must
include optimization, performance and highly reliable
applications.
Your responsibilities will include development of high
quality Windows
Server applications and test tools using C++ and C#. Must be
able to
troubleshoot and fix problems reported in integration and
testing. You
should possess excellent communication skills and can
interact with
remote team members in different locations.
Education: Bachelors degree in engineering, computer
science, computer
networking, or equivalent experience, plus 9 years technical
experience.
Required Skills: Development experience and strong internals
knowledge
of Windows Server required. At least 3+ years computer
software design
for Windows applications. Experience with other operating
systems is
required. Multi-threading experience is also very important.
At least 5
years experience developing client/server using TCP/IP on
applications
for windows platforms., Develop software using company's
Coding
Standards for new and existing hardware. Evaluate customer
problems,
troubleshoot and assist Field Service Engineers and
Customers through
problem resolution utilizing effective written and verbal
communication
skills.
Desired Skills: Experience with Windows development
environments,
software configuration management (i.e., CVS, Subversion) as
well as
proficiency in C++ and C# and scripting.Knowledge of and
experience
with embedded Operating Systems (e.g. Linux) and
distributions.
Knowledge of Symmetrical Multiprocessing (SMP) hardware and
software
including spinlocks is a plus. Software process experience
(i.e.,
CMM)., Should have 6 to 10 years of experience designing and
writing
Windows applications., · Must have at least 5 years
experience with
Visual C++., · Experience developing applications for
dot-net (.NET)
environment required., · Must be able to demonstrate ability
to
create requirements, specifications, and other technical
documentation., Ability to work and communicate proactively
and
effectively in a small cross-functional development team
environment.
Interact with Software and Electrical Engineering to guide
them with
software requirements, feasibility, and testability during
the product
design phases. Report project status and related issues to
SW
engineering manager and / or project lead as required.
Propose new
product concepts for evaluation, analyzing evolving needs
and
technology trends that indicate possible product
improvements.
