EN-567 Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst - Pasadena, CA
Salary: BOE + bonus
A leading ISP needs a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
to provide
reporting and business analysis support for their business
units.
You will be responsible for developing presentations &
reports,
analyzing product/service performance, requirements
gathering and
analysis, representing Business Metrics on project teams,
driving
issues to completion, and proactively communicating various
metrics to
the key business units. Reporting consists of setting up or
running
self-service, canned, and/or ad-hoc reports, queries, etc.
and
maintaining these report(s) once they are set up.
In addition, this position will require gathering/compiling
data from
disparate systems, data modeling & analysis,
creating/maintaining
front-line interactions with Business Metrics'
clients/customers, and
identification of current and future reporting needs. This
position
also requires the timely management of a personal work
request queue
and involvement with project meetings related to
new/existing
products/services. Timely management includes providing
accurate
forecasting of work (project and/or work request related),
providing
continual updates to work request via our ticketing system,
and keeping
in-check the average age of work/projects in the queue.
Requirements
o. 6+ years of business analysis experience, including data
collection,
analysis, report formatting and written presentation of
analysis
(Required)
o. 5+ years working with SQL, 4+ years experience with
Business Objects
(Required)
o. Strong experience with Crystal Reports, Oracle SQL/SQL
Plus, PL/SQL,
Microstrategy (Required)
o. Solid understanding of database schema structure and the
data
warehouse development lifecycle (Required)
o. Strong customer relationship and communication skills
(Required)
o. Experience preparing and delivering presentations (MS
PowerPoint) to
large groups (10+ people) (Required)
o. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information
Technology, or
equivalent (Master's a plus)
