EN-565b Sr. Data Warehouse Engineer - Atlanta, GA
Salary: BOE + bonus
A leading ISP needs a Data Warehouse Engineer to:
o. Design solutions for and implement development
assignments in
support of the data warehouse, more specifically
o. Convert business requirements into logical and physical
database
designs and models.
o. Design and write scripts (or use ETL tools) to extract,
transform,
clean and move data from source systems to the enterprise
data
warehouse.
o. Create, upgrade and/or maintain written documentation
(run books,
process-flow diagrams, standards, etc) and facilitate
handoffs for
release management.
o. Assume lead role for team projects where direction of
other
Business Metrics team members may be required.
o. Maintain and enhance data warehouse infrastructure.
o. Represent Business Metrics to the organization as needed
to manage
warehousing projects and/or maintain existing data warehouse
integrity
& availability.
o. Provide data/source guidance to report development
staff.
Skills / Requirements:
o. Current experience in data warehouse engineering
(Required)
o. Advanced knowledge of SQL, enterprise RDBMS, and data
warehousing
concepts/techniques (Required)
o. Experience with Unix shell scripting, star schema
concepts,
Informatica and Java a plus
