I had lots
of side effects on Paxil and hated every one of them ... getting off it was a
nightmare. I now take Effexor and so far (crossing my fingers) I haven't
noticed any of the side effects that Paxil caused ... hope that helps. PS.
Apparently Effexor is a newer type of the same family of medication as Paxil but
with less side effects ....
I also took
Xanax for awful panic attacks but haven't experienced them since I've been on
Effexor ... and they say Xanax is habit forming - I had NO trouble getting off
Xanax, but as I said the withdrawals from Paxil were brutal
..
