Glad the lexapro is helping you! My Dad and younger brother both take it successfully and want me to try it. I am staying off everything to see if I can deal.....so far I'm handling life. Let me know of any side effects you may get from the lexapro? In case I may have to take it in the future..... Take care, Cyndi paxil_hater <for_my_chameleon yahoo.com> wrote: Hey, I started having numb lips with quivering. I'm bipolar so the doc initially tried stopping the Lithium. No help. So then he had me stop the Paxil.
Well, I know from bad experience that I can't just STOP Paxil. He gave me a handful of Lexapro samples and so what I've been doing is taking half doses of Paxil (5 mg) along with 10 mg of Lexapro. When my Paxil is gone I'll try and hang tough with the
Lexapro.
But here is the good new. Its been nearly two weeks now and no flu like symptoms and no zaps... So maybe this time it will be better. The Lexapro must be stepping into Paxil's place decently.
The numbness/quivering has subsided since I backed off the Paxil some.

Good luck with Lexapro, my sister was bi-polar and after so many un-
succesfull prescriptions, the Lexapro seemed to help her.
Just keep your eyes open for anything unusual if you have to keep
taking anything.
Have a good weekend everyone.-

OK, its been over a month off Paxil and on Lexapro. There were NO
WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS this time... Yea! And no side effects have popped
up while using Lexapro. So I guess I can say... So far so good.
And the numbness and quivering must of been the Paxil cause that is
gone too.
