Does Effexor cause similar withdrawel symptoms as Paxil does???

As for myself, I am going to go onto another medication only as a last resort.  I will not fully trust the medical or pharmaceutical community again.  I am educating myself about alternative therapies available to deal with depression & anxiety.  Some of these include natural hormone supplements, (just do a google search to learn about this…;) vitamins, minerals and herbs, improving my diet, implementing an exercise program, practicing yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, etc.  It is so much easier to just take a pill than to take charge of my health and change my lifestyle, but I think that after I make it through this withdrawal process, it will look easy in comparison to that! ; Speaking of which, I almost caved in this week. ; I went down to 10 mg on Monday.  By Wednesday, the withdrawal symptoms were so bad that I was ready to throw in the towel.  It was better on Thursday and is going really well so far today.  I have not been on this low of a dosage of Paxil in 8years.
