Bob,
     Well, I'm not sure of the correct spelling, but I take
it to mean that 
the component can't be replaced with an off the shelf item.
It has to be bought 
from the manufacturer. A few years ago, I ran into the same
problem with a 
Packard Bell machine that I was trying to upgrade.
