Every once in a while the state of customer service becomes
a topic here. In my experience telephone customer service
is generally worse than words I can use here can describe.
I recently had a problem with a yard/garden weed sprayer
from Gilmour. I called them during the holidays, got a
HUMAN, not a voicemail menu system and had the problem
resolved instantly.
Here's the text of an email I sent to the company:
"WOW! I am impressed. I didn't really expect to get
through to
you on the phone during the holidays but after sending my
previous message
I decided to try anyway. WOW! Not only did I get through,
but it was
directly to a human instead of an endless voicemail menu
system. And as if
that wasn't good enough, the nice lady resolved my problem
faster than I
could explain it to her. You must really appreciate your
customers."
You can be sure that I will always have a comfortable place
in my shed for Gilmour tools and equipment.
