Yes, the connection is hardwired at the monitor end. have
another monitor,
got the same message with it.

Since the monitor actually is telling you that, we can
rule out dead
monitor, except that the monitor can still have a problem.
We'll ignore
this possibility for now, unless you have another monitor
around that you
can temporarily connect as a test.
Since you reseated the card, am I correct in assuming
you also had to
reseat the video cable coming into the card? Looking at the
back of the
monitor, is the video cable hardwired or can it also be
disconnected on that
end? If it's a disconnect type, try reseating it there,
too.
