I want to get a case fan for the back of my new computer.
What size is
generally used?

80mm and 120mm are the two most common sizes. 92mm is used
often as well.
It really depends on your case. Most cases use the 80mm back
there, though YOUR case may be different. Which case is it?
The manual, should you have one, might say.

Jo Ann,
First, you'll need to look and see if there's a spot
already made for
one. If there is, measure the distance between the two top
(or bottom or
left or right) mounting holes. Unless you're willing to
drill new ones,
these will dictate what size fan you can install there.
There are several
sizes to choose from, but the igger the better. Larger fans
don't need to
spin as fast as smaller ones to move the same amount of air.
 Slower speed =
quieter fan.

Peace,
GMan

Forgot to say that you should round up to the nearest tenth
with your
measurement. If the distance is 115mm, you'll need a 120mm
fan. If it's
85mm, look for a 90mm fan.

Peace,
GMan
