will they let you pet them?
some birds if trained correctly will let you do that
have to be gentle though.

No, Hank.  We didn't have these birds from birth so we never
had the chance 
to train them ourselves.  We've both tried to correct that,
but it's 
difficult after they're older.  We're training the cockatoo,
though.  She's 
sitting on Babydoll's shoulder right now, but I have dirty
shoulders from 
earlier.  She still tries to bite when we go to pet her, but
then she 
realizes that we're not going to hurt her and allows us to
do it.  She's a 
VERY cool birdy.     :O)
