Jo Ann,
All the more reason to put your hand in as often as
possible. The more
you do it, the more they'll learn that you're not trying to
hurt them. I
often reach in just to adjust a perch or their swing, just
to remind them
I'm a good guy. Feed them smaller amounts more times a day
and put the
dishes inside the cage by hand rather than just opening up a
door and
sliding it in. All of this will help reenforce the idea
that you're a
friend. Even if they never allow you to touch them, they'll
eventually
suffer less panic by your presence in the cage. And that
can only be good
for their little hearts. :O)
