I seldom check Gmail at their site since I have it
configured to have mail come into Outlook Express. I did
check a few days ago and found quite a few pctechtalk
messages had gone to their Spam folder. This is just a
"heads up" for those who use Gmail. I let Gmail
know this was not Spam so I hope I have my problem fixed but
you all might want to check to be sure you are getting all
your mail.

Hi,

I am using the latest OE that came with XP Home. The usual
version, iow.

I reply to alot of emails and I would like to have a
function or tool that
will automatically break lines in reply messages to 76
characters, and
insert the > in front of each line. Granted, the lines
*do* break at 76
characters when I hit SEND and the message is put in the
outbox, when I
would like this to happen when I hit REPLY so that I dont
have to manually
break up lines when typing my answers.

Can it be done, with a setting or an external tool?

The second tool I would like to have, dont know if it exists
but maybe? - is
to be able to RE-SEND messages from the "Sent
elements" folder. In Eudora
you can just select previously sent emails and re-send them
very easy. Maybe
an add-on can do this? Very useful when Yahoogroups bounce
several messages
in a row and I need to resend them

tia,
glenn

In OE go to Tools/Options/send
go to the HTML settings area and you put your number (76)
and you check to get the >>> before the lines. Then
do it for the Plain text settings also. I have my word wrap
set to 60 for some reason!
and I don't have the >> checked.
when yahoo bounces me, I go to my sent folder and forward
the emails back to the groups.

Hope this helps!

I check mind periodically because if you don't empty out the
trash box you
will go over limit - even though I have it set to delete
upon forwarding to
OE it still does it - anyhow fortunately I've never seen any
go there but
thanks for the heads up - Dolores

Thanks for the tip, but this doesnt exactly do what I want.
This method
breaks the lines when the messages gets into the SEND
folder. It doesnt
happen when you hit REPLY to type an answer.
