GMan,
     It makes sense that the modem will talk to the router,
and shouldn't be 
a problem downstream. Here's a new concern. The router
(linksys WRTP54G), 
setup-CD can't be found. I'd prefer to have it available,
should the cable tech 
need it for some reason.
     If I still can't find it, and decide to buy a new
router, is the setup 
process something I should expect the tech to know how to
do?
