It's an all in one printer.
Wondering if anyone on here has this same
printer/scanner/copier! ??

If you do, does it make a loud grinding noise when it
scans?
Mine sounds horrible! it's always made a little noise, but
it seems to be getting worse.
It's not that old - but wondering if it is gonna die on me.
My last HP lasted forever and ever!!

thanks!

Cris

I have an HP All-in-One printer, copier, scanner. Have had
it about 8
months. It does not make any unusual noises when scanning.
It does run
maintenance whenever it makes up it's mind to do that but,
as far as I know,
that is just the nature of the beast.

Mine is an Office jet all in one..it makes noise when it
scans but nothing any different from the ones I have had
before it. Nothing outlandish that make me check...

it should make noise when scanning. Kinda sounds like
mmmmmmmmmmmmmming.but it shouldn't sound like a tank
rattling around..not like grinding or clanky..I have had 3
HP all in ones and they all have done the same thing sound
wise when scanning.

Hi Cris - I have this model and it does not seem to
make more noise than my other scanners. But Scanners
are as you know noisy largely because of the mechanics
of the darn things. When I moved recently I put it on
an old wooden desk and the wood did magnify the gears
and grunts but I believe this model is highly rated
for an all in one; the design is kinda of box-like and
HP has packed a lot into that box which I believe adds
to the shake rattle and roll. It certainly has served
me well but give the group a heads up it
dies(hopefully not).

I too by the way have had good luck with the HP
printers.
