First you need to figure out if there's some sort of pattern
to when it shuts down.
You have a program you can run that can tell you when the
system rebooted? Meaning... what time?

And, does it reboot every night? Consistent? Or, some nights
it reboots, others it does not?

How many times has it rebooted on you?

If it is XP or 2000 event viewer should give you an
indication of the time
is shutdown and restarted.
