System restore has to do with 'system' files.
It does not remove programs or data. It just goes back to
previous settings
of the system.
It is possible that maybe it could help.
I do not think it can hurt......

But, I would wait for someone who REALLY knows what they are
talking
about...like the Mods....

Movies?

I thought of system restore but the last one was awhile ago
and
I don't want to lose the data (movies, games, etc.) I've
made in
the mean time. Thought about using a trial version but I
don't
know which software would be good. I went to the Nero site
because I have the light version which came with this
computer
but I didn't see where it would burn an avi file. Mostly
talked
about converting from a camcorder, etc.

Next time I will do a system restore before I download
anything.
Taught me a very valuable lesson!!

Judith,

You could try a system restore point before you installed
the
patch. If that doesn't work, You
could download a trail version till you get the Serif
straightend out.
